The Last Friday..

Woke up earlier than usual (during my work time), to send my bro off to Tekong for his BMTC.

well, army life for the youngsters now are really better than 5-6 years ago. Better uniforms and more variety of food rations.

all of us were kinda feeling funny when bidding goodbye after our lunch before they were being called back to gather at the parade square to officially start their training for the next 17 weeks.

hope he can really become a man after 2 years and think more wisely!

After the sending off, mommy and i went down orchard for a short shopping trip. It was quite a rush one for us as she has to get back home at 7 to work.

bought 3 pairs of shoes from Trendy Zone. I'm a regular customer of them cos they have beautiful shoes at affordable prices!!

Suede black shoe. had it in red and blue last time round and its really comfy!

Its so tempting while looking at all the bags in Charles & Keith. i wanna buy like 3!! but kept my wallet tightly ZIPPED today and did not buy any.

haiz......if i have the money.......i'll buy ALL!!!

Bits & pieces of the past weeks......

was burying myself into the stacks and stacks of books of financial accounting and taxation for the passed 2 weeks and i'm soo GLAD to announce that it's all OVER!!

however it was quite demoralizing after my first paper which is Taxation. Eventhough i studied freaking hard for the passed week by waking up early in the morning and sleeping late at night, i still can't prevent myself from forgetting some information and the hardest paper of all F6 exams.

the paper was a killer!!

Luckily the last paper on wed was quite easy.

I'm at ease somehow thinking that i'll sure pass one paper this time round. well, lets leave it all to the heavenly Father up above for some miricle to happened.

i hope that the F6 paper will get lost somewhere and we'll be asked to retake it again..HAHA!! (what a shit reason)

ANYWAY, its all over now! time for me to take a few days break before my work starts next monday. Pray and hope that everything is well over there!!

Dear had flew to KL for his 'days of enjoyment before commencing work' hols while leaving me here all alone for the weekend. Bet he is happily enjoying the 'No Girlfriend Days' cos he seldom call back. cos no money and even the msg is also so short.. (-_-")....

His friend was so eager for him to join him and i've not much money to spare to go up as well..rates are expensive during the peak season too. Therefore i can only stay in Spore and do my own stuffs..算了吧~~

I'm really looking forward to the day whereby our financial status is better for us to spend on what we like & travel overseas like Taiwan, HK, Macu, Korea, Japan.....as well as treating my parents on hols cos they're really very 可怜 cos they don't get as much chance as us to fly whenever they want.

Hope next year will be better. hope~~~

Anglican 100th Anniversary.

it was a busy weekend for me. church on Sat and celebration on Sun for the 100th Anni of Diocesan of Singapore(Anglican) @ Suntec.

Thousands of people filled the whole level 6 for the combine Praise & Worship. was indeed touching..

went back to have our afternoon nap cos we only had 3.5 hrs of slp the night before.

Girls girls girls....we're dreaming and thinking of unrealistic expectation almost everyday. well, guys just can't blame us for dreaming cos that is just a dream. Hmm..maybe some girls will turn their dream to expectation?? anyway, i think it's the influence of friends, tv..and more gossips and and and...comparison. And i think its more or less due to the financial crisis that we can't do what we want. Therefore, we have to focus on the present and compromise with whatever you have and deal with the issue at the end of the day.

guess I've already popped in the "realistic pill" and still working through my QLC. i'll live through it anyway.

Life is like a doldrums, gradually building up since the start of the year. Been thinking what will be my future like..well..i don't really know..only GOD does...hope it'll be much much better than what i'm doing now.

that's why i must learn to treasure and deal with whatever things i have now. learn to not be that petty, not get hurt easily, to be more clever/knowledgeable, more independent, more realistic, more street-wise, use my brain more, learn to let go (if things doesn't work out), learn to 'swallow' everything, learn not to bother other people with my boring stuffs, learn to trust people more, learn to say "I'm ok" and to take something(s) lightly....

from now on, almost everything has to be on a budget for myself. needa save up money to clear study loans and payment of ACCA fees too. (if i have the money, my load will be lighter by 70%). Gonna pass the sushi buffet with the Gang nxt friday and skip to the movie session at night.

there'll always be the next time :)

ANYWAY: i'm getting so bored from my studies that i stop to think about all these stuffs which magnifies everything. gosh!!

enough of the demoralising post above & i shall stop here...pray that everything goes well(at least i can handle)

I HATE EXAMS!!!!!

Ooh...its time to take a break from my books and lets see what are the things that keeps my energy going.

usually when i'm preparing for exams, i'll arrange/clear my table first as i will have lots of space to myself. and when writing notes, post-it stickers will remind you of the impt details. these are the 2 cute notes which i bought sometime back and it comes into good use at the moment!

up next is Za Energy Water. i usually use this after putting on my makeup so it'll last. but you can use it without make up too!! spray some into ur face will make your skin looks better after all the late nights.

signed up for the watsons membership card recently and luckily i got a $2 voucher for Za. Saved some money~~

another thing that i'll not miss is my clay mask! when i'm all stressed out and pimples starting to appear, this is the solution to having smooth and beautiful skin.

anyway, to end off this post before hitting my books again ; i wiped up this Spaghetti Frittata which i learned from Everyday Food TV - a production of Martha Stewart Living Television.

it still taste ok but there's still more room for improvement. shall try it next time.

the START of corporate life/ladder..

went for my contract signing at OCBC centre yesterday. i also did my first interview there and i think they have a mesmerizing view on the 40th floor. it is like those background scene of the director's room on TV.

i thought i'll be working in this building..but :( ....sadly its not.....

so i decided to take some pictures in case i'll not be back there again.

it has a nice view of the whole landscape isn't it?

no wonder directors need these kind of scenery to work and relax in.

Watami II..

Pardon for MIA-ing for the past week.

it had been somewhat a rollercoaster for me!

first thing first, been thinking and worrying about what i'm going to do after my exams. therefore i send out lots of resumes and went for some interviews for the past 3 weeks.

AND finally, i got a job at OCBC! the benefits are quite appealing but the salary is the normal market rate. But it is good enough for a starter like me!

hoping that after a year of experience, there'll be more opportunities and prospect for me! Thank God for the job!

Secondly, been busy engaging into talks with my director but nothing came out of it..so.....

Thirdly, jail break my iphone...and every applications are free!! HAPPY!! :)

Anyway, met up with the gang for dinner last friday. it was fun having arguments with Mr Quek and this shows that i'm not that bad too ya?..haha~~

we ended at a pub playing drinking games as Cine had a power failure which there're no shows available.

had a great night out and looking forward to the next one!!

HairCut w my Bestie!

Shing recommended a 50% off for hair services and we decided to go and try it out at Orchard Central.

the place was like minus 10 degrees and there isn't any interesting shops in the whole of 8 levels of O.C. I personally think that is was a waste of land space and the only attraction was the food there. you'll be spoilt for choices with levels of different cuisines restaurants.

anyway, the salon that we went was called Fox Salon. they have great service! UOB card members are entitled to 50% off.(call to ask for services which have the discount)

we settled for Sake Sushi cos there're queues everywhere.

the haircut and everything is excellent. and the meet up is great even though we talk on msn almost everyday~~

Too much of steamboat lately?

it was a cold evening after hours of rain. dear and i decided to eat something warm and hot.

we went down Upper Thomson for this steamboat buffet which we saw the other time when we pass by. i guess we're the first customer for the evening as no one around. other than the waitress lar~~

their service was GREAT!!

their tom yum soup is a MUST try. its not too spicy and the taste is just right!

i'm not sure our stamina drop or what, but we seems to have a hard time finishing all up!

looking back like 1 year ago, we went to lots of buffets @ different places and we seems to enjoying eating to the max even though we're damn freaking full.

but now, both of us can't take the fullness of the buffet anymore. it makes us more uncomfortable than satisfied.

it'll be another 6 mths before having this kind of meal.

The Night of the Rainy Halloween..

Its my 1st time celebrating Halloween this year and it rained!! anyway, david.man.pen and i went Night Safari for their Spooky Halloween thing.

as it was raining, we gave up the walking part and took the ride twice instead. we sat the wrong one therefore we went for the 2nd time which you'll be scared by creatures of the NIGHT..

there're tons of people waiting to hop on to the ride. and while waiting, we saw 2 female ghosts passed by...they're indeed scary when they look @ into your eyes.

this spec is making me giddy, decided to be my normal self instead.

great curls you have there, ghost! LOL..

decided to have our dinner at their high class food court.

but chicken rice is selling at $17 bucks per set.

Make-up and beauty necessities..

OKAY, after reading all these, you'll will know where some part of my money went to.

but i'm happy for all my buys!! :)

this season is a bad bad one as i'm going to take my study leave (as mentioned below). and there goes my pay for 1 whole month afterwards.

and worst still, most of my make-up essentials are running dry! concealer, pressed powder, moisturiser......... i have combination and sensitive skin, therefore there's limited brands which i can use. (eg MAC pressed powder will cause pimples, bodyshop eyecream will cause redness and skin peeling effect....so those are NO-NO)

no wonder its Halloween, cos all the vampires came and sucked my money $$$$ away.

decided to try this concealer from Bobbi Brown as is was recommended by top beauty magazines. It has excellent coverage but don't use it often, if not you can't live without it.

i've been using Bobbi Brown's moisturizer and eye cream and i have to say it is one of the best products i ever use.

This is a new powder from Chanel and highly recommend by makeup artists. It comes with a sponge and flat brush for easy coverage which i think its great!

Lucikly i used vouchers to buy it. if not..... OH MY GOODNESS~~

alright!, that all for my stock up of make-up. hopefully it can last me for quite a long while.

Exam season -- once again..

time passes fast. and its the time again for burying of books. well for me at least.

i'll be taking my exam break in 2 weeks time and hopefully i'll be back again as a new person or in a new role.

lots of talking and educating done lately..and i realised that i'm not been planning for my future well enough. well, that is shitty i guess..and i've gotta start to be wise from now on.

truth hurts..but at least it is true..guess my immunity is stronger than i thought.

anyway, we're on budget nowadays so dear wipe up some dishes during the weekends..and guess what? i'm doing the washing of pots and pans as well as cooking the main thing... RICE ~~

the truth is, ma pou doufu and black bean chicken are good!

bought this pack of mashmallow from cold storage someday. and i'm loving it!

for mashmalleow lovers out there, this is one good brand that you can try.

it is a good company for you in a sat afternoon at home with your book in hand and a cup of hot chocolate. ~~ yum yum~~

went down marina to visit penny and saw this poster with lots of signatures of F1 racers.

the staff even got a chance to meet them!!! cos they went to the store during the F1 season last month.

Anniversary - THE 3RD...

Our anniversary this year was a budget one. no celebrations or watsoever. just a few heart-warming msgs and piceces of cakes to brighten up the day.

save us some money from those expensive restaurants and services tax.

as usual, there'll be a card for dear every year.

as the time goes by, we've already been through our 3rd year. i believe both of us have grown up in one way or another and this year is especially a challenging stage for us as there're many changes everywhere. as well as the ability to adapt to each others lives.

I thank God for bringing him into my life and filling me with happiness and laughter. hope that there're still many anniversaries ahead of us. love ya!
